Just starting ch 4 here. I'm curious to know the story behind the Russian Mom's cold indifference to her daughters. Something is definitely up there.
ReplyDeleteI just finished ch 25 after reading nonstop from ch 18. Wow, do I have the biggest lump in my throat, similar to reading Marian Keyes' book 'Is Anybody Out There'. Completely heart-wrenching. Let me just say that I'm hugging my peeps so much more tightly tonight!
ReplyDeleteI'm literally fighting back tears after finishing this book. Did I say heart-wrenching? Oh my goodness... 'Winter Garden' is a MUST READ.
ReplyDeleteI just finished this book last night, definitely took a twist I was not expecting, but then again, if you think about it, now that we know that Sasha survived it would make sense that he would take the daughter to Alaska, but hoping that Vera would remember or go to Alaska, given what she saw in the coat of her daughter doesn't make sense, but definitely a twist! I highly recommend this book!
